You can forward calls from your IP telephony number to another number through the customer portal. This allows you to redirect incoming calls to a landline or mobile phone when needed, ensuring that you never miss an important call, whether you're at home, in the office, or on the go.

How to set up call forwarding

  1. Step 1: Access IP telephony settings

Log in to your customer portal by visiting customerportal.internetport.se. Enter your username and password. Once logged in, click on My Services in the main menu on the left-hand side of the dashboard. From there, select IP telephony to view all your current subscriptions.

  2. Step 2: Configure call forwarding

Locate and click on the specific IP telephony subscription you wish to manage. This will open a detailed page with various options related to that service. On the left-hand side of this page, look for the Call Forwarding menu item and select it. This action will take you to the call forwarding configuration settings.

  3. Step 3: Enter forwarding details

In the call forwarding section, you will see options for different types of forwarding such as unconditional forwarding (all calls), busy forwarding (when your line is busy), and no answer forwarding (if no one answers within a set time). Choose the type that best suits your needs. Enter the phone number to which you want to forward your calls in the designated field. Make sure to include the country code if forwarding internationally.

  4. Step 4: Set timing and conditions

If applicable, set any specific timing or conditions for when the call forwarding should be active. For example, you can specify that calls should only be forwarded during certain hours of the day or on particular days of the week.

  5. Step 5: Save your settings

After entering all necessary information and making any desired adjustments, click the Save button to apply your changes. It's a good idea to double-check that all details are correct before saving.

  6. Step 6: Test the forwarding

To ensure everything is set up correctly, have someone call your IP telephony number and verify that it forwards as expected. This step helps you confirm that all configurations are working properly.

Note: Call forwarding is charged according to standard call rates: 0.15 SEK/min to landlines in Sweden and 0.75 SEK/min to mobile phones in Sweden. Be mindful of these costs when setting up your forwarding rules.

Tips:

  • Consider using conditional forwarding (e.g., busy or no answer) if you want more control over which calls are forwarded.
  • You can set multiple forwarding numbers for different scenarios, such as having a separate number for business and personal calls.
  • Always check your call logs to monitor the effectiveness of your forwarding settings and adjust them as needed.
