This guide shows you how to change your Plesk control panel password. You can either create your own secure password or use Plesk's built-in password generator to create a strong random password.
How to do it
-
Step 1: Access your account settings
Log in to Plesk and go to Account. A new page will appear with the heading Account Information and Tools.
-
Step 2: Open your profile
Click on My Profile to access your account preferences.
-
Step 3: Enter a new password
In the Plesk Preferences section, type your New Password in the Password field. The password must be alphanumeric, using a combination of upper and lower-case letters, numbers, and special characters.
To view the password you entered, click on Show. Copy the password and paste it in the Confirm password field. Click on Hide to hide the password again.
-
Step 4: Use password generator (optional)
If you want to use an auto-generated password, click on Generate. Both the Password and Confirm password fields will automatically be filled with a random secure password.
Click on Show to view the generated password, then copy it and save it in a secure location for future reference.
-
Step 5: Save your changes
Click on Apply and you will receive a success message confirming that your password has been changed.
