As a cPanel server administrator, you can create hosting packages in WHM to define resource limits and settings for your users. Packages allow you to standardize configurations and quickly provision new accounts with predefined quotas for disk space, bandwidth, databases, and other features.

How to Add a Package

  1. Step 1: Access WHM

    Log in to your root WHM account.

  2. Step 2: Navigate to Packages

    Choose the Packages option from the navigation menu.

  3. Step 3: Open Add Package Form

    Click on the Add a Package option.

  4. Step 4: Configure Package Name

    Enter the Package Name in the provided field.

  5. Step 5: Set Resource Limits

    Set resource limits for the package in the Resources section. This includes quotas for disk space, bandwidth, email accounts, databases, and other server resources.

  6. Step 6: Configure Package Settings

    In the Settings section, choose whether to include or deny users access to:

    • Dedicated IP
    • Shell Access
    • CGI Access
    • Digest Authentication at account creation
  7. Step 7: Save the Package

    Click the Add button to save the package settings.
